Hi, I'm Heidi! I love to cook. I especially love to bake bread... sourdough in particular! My favorite space to be in my home is the kitchen. I have worked hard to make it a convenient place to cook and an enjoyable place to be. I have four little boys, ages 3 to 10. They love to help me in the kitchen. With all boys in our house we spend quite a lot of time up in the mountains here in Utah. We hike, mountain bike, camp and ski. I started this blog to show people how enjoyable it can be to make and eat real, nutritious food. I'm hoping to create more resources for those wanting to start their sourdough journey :)

I started Berg Bakes as a way to document the food I made that we loved! I enjoy looking at recipes and trying new ones every day. There are hundreds of versions of each recipe and I love finding the versions we like best. This is my journal of those recipes. Enjoy!
