Cardamom Loaves

2 large loaves or 3 smaller loaves:
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup warm water
1 tablespoons yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon salt
4 eggs
7-8 cups flour
1 tablespoon ground cardamom
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 egg + cinnamon sugar for topping
Method:
Knead everything together for 8 minutes.
Dough should be very soft but not sticky.
Cover and let it rise until doubled in size.
Split the dough in half, then split each half into 4 sections. Braid the sections into 2 four strand braids. Place each braid in a buttered loaf tin, cover and rise until nice and puffy. At least 1 hour. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
*use a 9.25 x 5.25 loaf pan for the large loaves
