Makes 9 large cookies.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup soft salted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup malted milk powder
1 1/3 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips (I prefer a mix of dark, semi sweet and white chocolate but all semi sweet is also good)
Method:
Add the butter and sugars to the bowl of a mixer and mix for 1 minute at medium speed using a paddle attachment. Add the egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt and milk powder and mix until smooth. Scrape down the edges once. Add the flour and mix until just combined. Add the chocolate and mix until just combined. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Using a large cookie scoop place 6 balls of dough on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Cook for 9-10 minutes. Lay a tea towel on the on the counter and as soon as the cookies come out of the oven drop them from a few inches up onto the counter. This gives the cookies the crinkle. My favorite part! Let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack.
